November 16, 2007, LAGOS-NIGERIA-- Netcom Africa won the highly coveted award of VSAT company of the year award at the annual Nigerian Information technology and Telecom Awards organised by IT and Telecom Digest magazine and held in Lagos. The company was nominated for two awards namely; VSAT Company of the year and Broadband Company of the year, but won the VSAT Company of year award. Nominations for the awards were made based on votes from the public. The votes are then coordinated and overseen by a panel of reputable judges to facilitate transparency and maintain the high standards of the ceremony.

August 13th, 2007 LAGOS-NIGERIA --Netcom Africa has emerged as a winner of the ‘Best ISP of the year and also won the recognition award for ‘Best broadband company of the year ‘at the annual Nigeria Telecom Awards organized by Nigeria telecoms magazine in Lagos. Other Internet service providers nominated for best ISP of the year Netcom were Swift Networks and Direct on PC.

The Nigeria Telecoms awards recognizes leadership, innovation and excellence and services judged to be the most unique to the telecommunications industry Prominent individuals in the society were also been honored for their contributions and developments to the society. The final winners are voted for by the industry and end-users.
