FEBRUARY 20-22, 2006, ABUJA-NIGERIA -- The event which took place in Abuja from February 20-22 was attended by 215 participants from eighty countries and focused on important issues relating to new investment opportunities for investment partnerships in West Africa, with particular emphasis on Nigeria.
At a Parallel session panelled by the Honourable Minister for Communications, Chief Cornelius Adebayo and Engr. Ernest Ndukwe the Executive Vice Chairman of The Nigerian Communications Commission Netcom Africa's Head of Business Development, Mr. Temitope Fashedemi made a presentation entitled “Building Country and Company Competitiveness” in which he gave an enthralled audience persuasive justification for investment in broadband infrastructure and services. Speaking after the event, Mr. Fashedemi stated – “this event was a fantastic opportunity for Netcom to meet with and enlighten decision makers in various industries and indeed other countries of our presence in Nigeria and the inherent value of partnering with Netcom Africa.”
